Mission Statement

Our Black Fathers Committee (OBFC) is dedicated to uplifting, supporting, and empowering fathers and young boys. We serve as a platform for mentorship, leadership, and community engagement, creating spaces where fathers can grow, youth can thrive, and generations can connect. Through intentional programs, cultural events, and collective action, we work to strengthen the role of fathers as leaders in their families and communities, while building resilience, responsibility, and unity in young boys — preparing the next generation of men to lead with purpose and integrity.

O.B.F.C is a father’s mentoring organization based in Phoenix, AZ, providing a safe space for men to focus on personal development and build healthy relationships with their children. Since our founding in 2015, with the vision of “Helping to create stronger communities, one father at a time,” we have worked as a Black fathers’ advocacy group, offering workshops and seminars that promote growth, positive living, and community wellness — with health and fitness at the core.

O.B.F.C. is also a hip-hop group formed in 2017 with the “soul” purpose of combating and countering the negative stereotypes of black men displayed in the media.
