Unlocking Emotional Intelligence Through Art
A Creative Expression Experience for Black Boys
Join the Our Black Fathers Committee for an interactive art workshop led by internationally recognized artist, educator, and cultural visionary Antoinette Cauley. This experience is designed to help Black boys ages 12–17 explore their emotions, strengthen their self-awareness, and develop healthier ways to communicate what they think and feel.
Through guided art activities, participants will learn how artists use color theory, movement, value, and composition to express emotion, mood, identity, and personal stories. As they create, participants will also build confidence, practice mindfulness, strengthen critical-thinking and decision-making skills, and explore the connection between emotional awareness and leadership.
This is more than an art class. It is a supportive, creative experience that gives young men the space and tools to better understand themselves, express themselves with confidence, and communicate in healthy and meaningful ways.
